Job Description
- Assisting in generating accurate technical quotations.
- Assisting the Internal and External sales force and systems / project team in managing their corporate accounts.
- Ensuring a sound support base in issuing information of a technical nature on time, every time.
- Developing and maintaining a healthy and professional working relationship with vendors, internal service providers, contractors and managers of the group and external customers in a competent and people oriented manner.
- Interacting with the supply chain, service, finance and other logistics and operational departments to ensure prompt delivery of orders and where required proactively keep the customer informed on shipping and delivery details and or any delays which might occur.
- Assess and evaluate information and interpreting it correctly to compile technical offers with the focus on promoting and creating mutually benefiting proposals.
- Ensuring the accurate processing of orders and deliveries of goods sold, within and outside the borders of South Africa.
- Effectively utilising the Business Systems in place to perform all expected duties. Quote register and Project Pipelines.
- Compiling weekly and monthly reports on time as required.
- Assisting with training of customers and colleagues as required.
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or similar qualification.
- Extensive external sales experience in a technical field selling to engineers and technical customers.
- Knowledge of Vacuum pump design and selection as well as vacuum applications would be beneficial.
- Experience selling water pumps, compressors or other rotating equipment is an advantage.
- Excellent customer and internal communication skills.
- Computer literacy with working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
