Job Description

  • Oversee the company’s Production activities and directly supervise the Site Manager.
  • Company meets its Production targets for each crop every week; sub-targets for nursery activities and on-farm activities are met each month.
  • Oversee the company’s Packing and Exporting activities and indirectly supervise the relevant staff.
  •  Company exports all required product each week to meet buyer demands based on the schedule for each Packhouse.
  •  Guide the activities of leadership at each site so that expenditure remains within each planned budget.
  • The Production and Packing/Exporting staff spend only within their budgets each month.
  • Support the collaborative development of quarterly and annual targets and work plans with the leadership of each FSC execution.
  • All operational activities and targets included in the quarterly and annual work plans are executed on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate all planning and activities related to the procurement of consumable goods (including inputs, seeds, packaging, etc.) to ensure the company always has two months of reserve of stock.
  • Contribute to the company’s growth and success by playing an active, participatory role in regular Senior Team meetings and initiatives.
  • Motivate, inspire, and guide GreenPath staff so that they each meet their responsibilities and outcomes.
  • Senior Manager and Deputy team members are in place on time for all positions that open up due to company expansion.
  • Experience leading projects, managing and owning responsibility for all aspects, from conception to execution.
Additional skills and Experience:

  • Experience managing (directly and indirectly) a team of 50 individuals.
  • At least 2 years of experience working in Sub-Saharan Africa.
  • Experience working in an international context, interacting with private and public-sector stakeholders, across various countries and cultures.
  • Experience engaging with professional individuals across levels, from junior team members to senior executives.
  • Experience in developing and building teams, with tangible examples of a focus on professional development, high efficiency teamwork and creating growth opportunities for team members.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience working in one of the following fields: agribusiness, retail, grocery, export-oriented processing, consumer goods, or related.
  • Experience working in a business in one of the following fields: agribusiness, retail, grocery, export-oriented processing, consumer goods, or related.
  • Fluency in Amharic, Oromifa (Afan Oromo), and/or Guragigna
