Job Description
- Partner with employees and management to communicate various HR policies, procedures, laws, standards, and government regulations.
- Conduct exit interviews, analyze data, and make recommendations to the management team for corrective action and continuous improvement.
- Conduct corrective action meetings with employees as needed.
- Respond to employee relation issues such as employee complaints and harassment allegations.
- Represent the company for any unemployment claims.
- Facilitate and/or provide training (including orientation) to the workforce.
- Participate in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
- Maintain company organization charts, employee directory, and workforce data.
- Participate in developing department goals, budgets, objectives, and systems.
- Perform benefit administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, invoice approval, payments, and communication of benefit information to employees.
- Maintain Human Resource Information System (HRIS) records and compile reports from database.
- Punctuality and regular attendance are required.
- Meet or exceed established performance expectations set by management.
- Compliance with all company policies and procedures including, but not limited to safety, confidentiality and environmental policies.
- Maintain accurate records and files.
- Consistent exercise of discretion and judgment in job performance.
- Review documentation of accidents, injuries, and equipment damage and recommend prevention strategies as necessary.
- Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned by manager
- Education and Experience
- Education equivalent to appropriate four year program is preferred.
- Professional in Human Resources (PHR or SHRM-CP) certification preferred.
- Three to five years of HR experience preferred.
- Familiarity with COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, and related state and federal regulations required.
