Job Description

  • Partner with employees and management to communicate various HR policies, procedures, laws, standards, and government regulations.
  • Conduct exit interviews, analyze data, and make recommendations to the management team for corrective action and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct corrective action meetings with employees as needed.
  • Respond to employee relation issues such as employee complaints and harassment allegations.
  • Represent the company for any unemployment claims.
  • Facilitate and/or provide training (including orientation) to the workforce.
  • Participate in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
  • Maintain company organization charts, employee directory, and workforce data.
  • Participate in developing department goals, budgets, objectives, and systems.
  • Perform benefit administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, invoice approval, payments, and communication of benefit information to employees.
  • Maintain Human Resource Information System (HRIS) records and compile reports from database.
  • Punctuality and regular attendance are required.
  • Meet or exceed established performance expectations set by management.
  • Compliance with all company policies and procedures including, but not limited to safety, confidentiality and environmental policies.
  • Maintain accurate records and files.
  • Consistent exercise of discretion and judgment in job performance.
  • Review documentation of accidents, injuries, and equipment damage and recommend prevention strategies as necessary.
  • Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned by manager
  • Education and Experience
  • Education equivalent to appropriate four year program is preferred.
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR or SHRM-CP) certification preferred.
  • Three to five years of HR experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, and related state and federal regulations required.
