Job Description

  • Performs library clerical duties   
  • Registration of readers         
  • Issuing of books to readers   
  • Receiving books from readers     
  • Handle simple enquiries from readers  
  • Assists readers in bibliographic searching    
  • Assists in collection of library records 
  • Assists in proper shelving of books and periodicals     
  • Assists in carrying out cataloguing of books and periodicals         
  •  Assists in copying catalogues with CIP facts     
  • Performing some other responsibilities as can be assigned by manager.

 QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  •  Holder of a Certificate in Library Studies, Library and Information Science, Information Studies, Documentation and Information Management from a diagnosed group plus ICT skills.
