Job Description
- Works closely with other Department Managers to develop and implement correct policies and processes as well as the introduction of new initiatives and programs.
- Be the custodian of the correct application and implementation of the operations collective bargaining agreement.
- Manages the recruitment and selection process.
- Manages the HR team to ensure smooth operation of the HR function for the Operations.
- Takes responsibility for the preparation of employment contracts and letters of offer and associated paperwork.
- Provides ongoing coaching and counseling to managers in HR principles and practices for the effective management of employees.
- Gives advice on workforce planning, retention programs, and business structure.
- Ensures timely delivery of accurate data and reports.
- Manages and is accountable for a team of HR professionals who are responsible for management and maintenance of employee data.
- Works with management to implement new systems and processes in accordance with company policy.
