- Analyse problems, form problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.
- Prepares and installs solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.
- Improves operations performance with add-ons.
- Translating user requirements into system updates.
- Developing user manuals and training users.
- Updates job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools,programming techniques, and computing equipment participating in educational opportunities reading professional publications maintaining personal networks participating in professional organizations.
- Develops software solutions by studying information needs.
- conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas;
- following the software development lifecycle.
- Comply with governance & compliance policies and procedures.
- Comply with Safety, Health and Environment standards.
Qualification and Experience:
- BSc Computer Science, Computer/Software Engineering or related degree.
- Diploma (mining, geological, civil, surveying etc.) or NQF equivalent plus extensive and deep field experience in explosives and mining (3-5 years plus).
- Minimum 3 -5 years’ relevant experience.
- Experience in software development and maintenance.
- Knowledge of mining applications.
- Knowledge of programming tools, languages and techniques.
