Job Description
- Ensure the effective utilization of the trucks / loading fleet to an agreed standard.
- Effectively communicate with maintenance department and other mine PICs, Shift Bosses, Mine Captains etc.
- Providing automatic optimized haul truck assignments.
- Maintenance tracking and constant feedback on estimated time of down equipment release time.
- Coordinates safety emergence incidents/accidents with ERT and escalate to key mining management leadership.
- Avoid costly mine accidents from mobile trucks by alerting fatigued mine truck operators by reporting to key mine supervisors.
- Responsible for 100% compliance with mine technical services department 36/24 hours dig plan and all geological requirements from Geology Department
- Responsible for optimised use of trucks installed with Panto on the trolley lines to assist in reducing mine cost.
- Responsible for hourly broadcast of safety and mining production performance.
- Manage and schedule servicing / fuelling of equipment in the mine area
- Ore control tracking with Geology dispatchers and Process Plant dispatchers.
- Attend production review meeting as may be requested.
Qualification, Experience & Skill:
- Minimum of a Grade Twelve (Grade 12) Certificate.
- A Diploma/ Degree Mining Engineering or its equivalent will be beneficial to the incumbent.
- Previous knowledge of Modular Mining Application, Provision, Mine Care will also be an added advantage.
- At least 2 years practical experience in open pit/underground mining.
- Must have exceptional communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fact paced environment
- Ability to motivate Mining personnel during the shift.
