Job Description
- Minimum Grade 12 is preferred.Minimum 5 years’ selling into the automotive, woodwork and metal work industries is essential.
- Must be energetic with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must have a hunter personality.
- Must have a valid driver’s licence.
- Must be computer literate with experience in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Generating sales leads and developing new business.
- Monitoring and evaluating company performance in meeting customer needs within the designated market segments.
- Forecasting and anticipating product sales and specific product lines
- Monitoring market developments and sales opportunities for company product portfolio sales.
- Facilitating and coordinating the efficient and effective quality standards within customer expectations.
- Maintaining and developing customer and client relationships.
- Optimising product development and cross-selling opportunities.
- Generating and managing sales plans, projects and activities to close sales.
- Devising and implementing sales actions to direct and support company growth.
- Maintaining a healthy and active sales pipeline.
- Preparing quotations and presentations.
- Regularly visiting and maintaining contact with key customers.
- Ensuring that customer calls have proper call objectives and that call patterns and frequencies match customer needs.
- Facilitating and following up on quality control.
- Handling technical customer queries or complaints.
- Achieving sales targets on a monthly and annual basis.
- Planning and establishing sales activities and targets to ensure that sales activities support the sales targets and sales budgets.
- Developing sales growth initiatives.
- Assisting with the annual business or sales territory plan at the start of the financial year and that plan is submitted to management for approval.
