Business & Finance Consulting (www.bfconsulting.com), a Swiss consulting company specialized in development finance, is looking for a Business Development Analyst / Proposal Writer (with excellent English and French languages). This
is an incredible opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the
international development finance sector by crafting detailed proposals
and innovative technical assistance plans for projects funded by
prestigious organizations such as the ADB, EBRD, EIB, KfW, IFC/WB etc.
As part of the Business Development Team, you
will work with recruiters, project managers, seasoned banking and
finance professionals. Your role will involve writing technical
proposals to align with project rationale, local context, selling
points, competition, and pricing models. You’ll learn a lot, meet great
people, pick up creative challenges. Expectations will be high, but you
will get tons of autonomy to drive the impact of your work.
Details:
- Location: home-based/remote
- Input: full-time or part-time (both options are possible)
What you will do (Your Duty):
- Opportunity Tracking: Regularly monitor tender opportunities on various platforms
- Proposal Development: Prepare
technical and financial proposals in response to tenders (requests for
proposal, RFPs) from international development organizations (including
administrative documents and methodology parts)
- Project Planning: Draft work-plans and time schedules for international consulting/research projects
- Technical Writing: Develop comprehensive methodology sections of proposed consulting / research services
- Research and Analysis: Conduct desk research / data analysis on the financial and economic sectors worldwide
- Company Presentations: Create compelling presentations to showcase our expertise
- Stakeholder Communication: Represent BFC in direct communication with international partners and experts
Who we are looking for (Your Profile):
- Education: University degree in economics, finance, banking or another related field
- Expertise:
Familiarity with some of the following areas: banking, finance,
economic development, private sector development, entrepreneurship,
green/sustainable development, agricultural finance, social impact
finance
- Languages: Excellent written and spoken English and French
- Critical Thinking: Ability to analyze information, prioritize key points, and grasp the core messages in documents
- Communication Skills:
Exceptional writing skills to present ideas in a structured, clear, and
convincing way, coupled with strong presentations abilities
- Attitude: Confidence, a “can do” mindset, and readiness to work in a fast-paced environment driven by external deadlines for tenders
