Job Description

a) Responsible for Coordinate with Licensees (Transmission, Generation & Distribution) for optimum scheduling and dispatch of electricity within a State/Country, in accordance with the contracts entered into with the licensees or the generating companies operating in the State/Country;

b) Exercise supervision and control over the intra-State/inter-state transmission system; and be responsible for carrying out real time operations for grid control and dispatch of electricity within the State/country through secure and economic operations of the grid in accordance with the Grid Standards and the Grid Code.

c) Supervise grid operations and Activities of an energy dispatch control room; Ensure Grid Reliability and achieve the maximum economic and efficiency in the operation of power system in that State.

d) Keep accounts of the quantity of electricity transmitted through the grid (Transmission Network, GRID station, Distribution Network

e) Respond to system emergencies and power outages and take corrective actions to restore the system's normalcy.

f) Strategize and Forecast Electricity demand & supply, planning of power channeling, GRID Optimization, System Resilience, reliability of power distribution system

g) Coordinate and communicate stakeholders on Grid schedule downtime, Maintenance downtime, breakdown, blackout.
