This role is ideal for someone who is deeply familiar with South African news, particularly related to social services, government policies, and economic updates. As a News Writer, you will be responsible for keeping our audience informed and engaged with up-to-date, relevant news on SASSA

Key Responsibilities:
Write a minimum of 30 unique news articles per month focused on SASSA-related topics, social services, and current events impacting South Africans.
Keep up with current news trends in South Africa, including social welfare updates, government announcements, economic changes, and any significant updates relevant to our readers.
Deliver well-researched, high-quality, and engaging content that aligns with our editorial standards.
Ensure accuracy and relevance in all news stories.
Collaborate with the editorial team for feedback and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
Strong knowledge and understanding of South African current affairs, especially social welfare and governmental updates.
Excellent command of written English with exceptional grammar and editing skills.
Proven experience in news writing, journalism, or a related field (experience in covering South African news is a plus).
Ability to meet deadlines and work independently in a remote environment.
Reliable internet connection and availability for virtual team meetings as needed.
