Position Overview: The Senior Environmental Consultant will be responsible for the management, coordination, and compilation of multi-disciplinary environmental projects while also preparing proposals. This is an excellent opportunity to establish yourself, as you'll be the first employee at this location. Reliability and the ability to work independently are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Effectively project manage the environmental and social legislative processes applicable to the relevant country.
• Maintain an awareness of the country’s applicable legislation and the potential impact on the various projects.
• Ensure the project team maintains a high-quality standard in the services provided and, in the deliverables produced.
• Participate in marketing the company and bringing in new business and projects.
• Effectively manage tasks relating to project team management which includes:
•  Project resource allocation and workload forecasting.
• Project budget and invoice forecasting.
•   Training and developing junior staff

Effectively project manage the following:

• Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIAs) according to the relevant legislation and international standards, such as the IFC Performance Standards.
•  Environmental Permitting.
•  Mining Right Applications.
• Working in close collaboration with specialists from other disciplines.
• Consultation with stakeholders.
• Project budgets and schedules.
• Liaising with clients and authorities
• Compile and write reports and other written deliverables for submission to the client and necessary authorities.

• Occasionally carry out field work under strenuous conditions.
