- Manage corporate travel program for all employees across Africa, Asia, Europe and other locations
- Book business class and economy international and domestic air travel in alignment with policy
- Negotiate discounted rates with hotels, airlines, rental car and transport agencies
- Arrange visitor visas, foreign exchange, travel insurance, medical requirements etc.
- Provide pre-trip support with itineraries, documents, directions and other information
- Manage relationships and contracts with travel management companies and vendors
- Enforce corporate travel policies including approvals, exceptions and compliance
- Review and approve/deny expense reimbursement requests from employees
- Prepare customized travel reports showing expenditures, vendors and policy compliance
- Analyze metrics to identify cost reduction and travel program optimization opportunities
- Create employee travel manuals, guidelines and communications on policy
- Research new destinations being added to global operations
- Act as an employee travel advocate and provide high-touch support
- Uphold the highest ethics, safety standards and duty of care for business travel
- Stay updated on international travel regulations and regional geo-political risks
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Travel or Hospitality
- 5+ years of experience in corporate travel management
- Highly organized with the ability to manage high volumes of travel
- Expert level experience with tools like Concur, TripActions, Expensify will be advantage
- Strong experience booking global flights, accommodation, transportation
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills
- Strong analytical abilities and data-driven thinking
- Outstanding communication and customer service skills
- High attention to detail and process compliance
