Urgent Hiring For Stores & Inventory Manager ( South Africa )

Job Description

  • Oversee the procurement, storage, and issuance of materials and supplies in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure accurate inventory counts are conducted and maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Maintain appropriate levels of inventory for each item, ensuring that stock is replenished in a timely manner.
  • Monitor inventory levels to identify slow-moving or obsolete items and take corrective action as necessary.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of materials and supplies.
  • Train, supervise, and mentor stores staff to ensure they work effectively, efficiently, and safely.
  • Conduct periodic inspections of the stores to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Develop and implement inventory control systems and procedures to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Provide regular reports on inventory levels, trends, and discrepancies to management.
  • Work closely with the procurement and logistics team to manage delivery schedules and reduce lead times.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in business, supply chain management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in inventory management, preferably in the mining or heavy industrial sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of inventory management software and systems.
  • Familiarity with warehouse and inventory management best practices.
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
