- The Librarian is the Head of the University Library and reports to the Vice-Chancellor in the administration of the Library.
- He/She is in charge of the arrangement of satisfactory, important and state-of-the-art perusing, and various media materials to help instructing, learning, research, advancement and network administration elements of the University.
- He/She gives authority in propelling the University's instructing, research and advancement mission through a reasonable vision of the Library's job.
- He/She gives thorough vital arranging, consolidating of developing innovation, sound monetary administration and commitment of all individuals from the University people group.
- He/She guarantees the support of a decent situation for perusing and learning in all libraries of the University.
- He/She practices proficient and regulatory supervision over staff of the University libraries and guarantees the productive and compelling running of the libraries of the University.
- He/She will, related to the Library Committee, and subject to endorsement by the Academic Board, detail strategies for the most extreme improvement and use of the libraries of the University.
- He/She will speak to the Library in contacts with Administration and advisory groups of the University.
- He/she team up and keep up linkages with the significant and fitting institutional libraries and associations inside and outside the nation so as to stay aware of advancement drifts and accomplish introduction to created frameworks.
- He/She will play out whatever other authority obligations that might be doled out every once in a while by the Vice-Chancellor.
- Have at least research Master's qualification in Library or Information Science related investigations. A PhD in Library Science or Studies is best
- Have filled in as a Deputy Librarian in a University or practically identical evaluation in a comparable foundation/association for at any rate six (6) years.
- Have at least fifteen (15) combined distributions.
- Be a researcher and an individual from a Professional Body in Librarianship/Information Science_
- Be PC educated and be acquainted with Library Software.
