1970s Vorg by Pearl Matsumoko TelecasterMatsumoku built Pearl Tele style model made for the German market during the 1970s. Features a 24 3 4" scale length, rosewood fretboard and a thicker maple neck profile than typically seen on Japanese guitars from the period. Loaded with Japanese made (Maxon) Tele style pickups that appear slightly wider than standard Telecaster units, wired to a classic 3 way selector with master volume and tone controls. Good finish, poor hardware.
Set screws are poor quality and are sometimes powdercoated on the exposed threads. Leads to striped hex sockets and inability to tighten properly.
Durable finish as evidenced by no visible damage after throwing parts across the shop in frustration.
Ended up running self tapping screws thru parts to complete assembly.
