Using this ancient "optic" technique, we house a glass bulb in a hand blown oval diffuser. This diffuser is perfectly clear on the outside with a wavy horizontal pattern worked in its bulb facing side. These interior lines are in the "optic" tradition, valued in heritage pieces

These are adorable and were perfect for a little dog wedding but... 3 days later and one has already come apart. My dog is not a big chewer so I was shocked to see it in pieces. She was able to detach the squeaker from inside. On a larger dog this would likely be a choking hazard. I've had several other toys from Zippy Paws and never seen this happen.
