Lamps-Currey-6000-0903The contemporary shape of the Edelmar Table Lamp is sleek, but the mix of materials composing it is complex. The body is made of black marble cinched in the middle by a brass ring that rises from an optic crystal base. Adding to the intricacy of the design is the knife pleated off white shantung shade. An optic crystal finial completes the overall composition.

Fun, but fragile
Format: Hardcover
This is a cool book, and my 2.5 year old son LOVES it. However it is important to note that it will be destroyed very quickly. There are lots of flaps and moving parts and it is very easy to accidentally rip them off if you try to move one in a way it's not meant for. I ripped more than 1 myself.

Perfection!

I have read this before digitally, and this is just as beautiful in the physical copy. It arrived in excellent condition. This is my favorite Lovecraft story, and it completely lives up to all expectations. Gorgeous art, moody, faithful to the story, and very detailed.

What adaptations ought to be
Format: Paperback
An amazing adaptation of Lovecraft's classic story to manga that changes only what needs to be changed to make the story work in the new format. The plot is the same, the art is incredibly detailed -- almost too much so -- and the changes in the plot are done only to deal with the vast amount of pure narration in the original. And they're intelligently done. This is how to do it. If you liked the original Shadow over Innsmouth, I think it's safe to say you'll love this.
