The hardware is green painted steel, approximately dating its production from mid 1942 to late 1943. It exhibits third pattern spring clips, which have a fold in the metal's bottom edge. This would be an ideal headband for a helmet liner with either non painted or green painted steel A washers. Provenance Private Collection, Oakfield, Wisconsin

Fabric is thin woven, it might work well for those in warmer climates, the fit was slightly larger than USA sizes, the color is two shades lighter than advertised, navy blue is actually a periwinkle blue. It arrived timely.
