Flakhelferin HBT Blue TrousersBeautiful unissued original Flakhelferin female drillich type trousers in dark blue HBT. Exceptionally rare, this might be the only example you will ever see. While these are unissued and unworn, they do have some storage related wear. There is subtle water staining on both legs around the knees, which is mostly obscured by the deep blue color making it somewhat difficult to photograph. I believe the folded trousers sucked up some water from one end

I found Modern Africa to be a fascinating read, because, having grown up in the 80’s, places such as Libya and Ethiopia were always in the news, but I didn’t understand their backstories. Modern Africa does a great job of laying out these stories, but in a way that doesn’t overwhelm the reader. I look forward to reading more from the author! They do a great job of making history relevant and make me want to learn more!

Quick Read - Highlights Version

Format: Kindle

The author does a decent job of overviewing what took place during this time period. You will learn how many different events connect and see what caused various developments in Africa to take place. However, it was not as in depth as I would have liked and certainly could not cover everything that transpired during this time. Probably a decent survey book for high school students, but as an adult, I would have liked to see more elaboration and depth for each segment. 124 pages is a relatively short amount of space to cover so many topics. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
