I initially wondered if this would be worth the money. But, I have a puppy who eats everything - including kindles. She ate the first one and I said to myself, I'll buy another and just be careful to put it out of her reach. Then she ate the second one! So, I bought a second one and added the insurance. She ate this one and, with the insurance, it was replaced with a new one. We call the 'puppy' (who is now a little over a year old) 'Jaws'. Hopefully, this third kindle won't go in her mouth. But, getting smarter, I bought a cover for it so that, if she puts her teeth on it, she'll just damage the cover.

After researching and attempting to trouble shoot, I realized it was toast. Called Amazon and no issues getting the replacement scheduled. My ONLY issue is the warranty has a guaranteed 2 day replacement and mine is supposed to take almost a week. Anyhow, I highly recommend buying the warranty.
