The elastic is strong and holds in place like a fitted sheet. The grey color is sleek and neutral, which is a nice change from the usual white protectors. It’s also surprisingly soft and quilted, so it doesn’t have that crinkly, plastic feel you get with some waterproof covers. You’d barely know it’s a waterproof layer—zero noise when moving around at night. As for protection—it passed the test. We had a minor spill and it didn’t leak through to the mattress.
